Youtaite Secret Valentine's 2026

Youtaite Secret Valentine's is an event where vocalists are anonymously paired up with each other to sing a duet. The YTT Secret Valentine's staff help organize and provide the mix, art, and animation.

General Information

❥  Vocalist applications will be lottery based❥ All entries will be TV-Size duets❥ Staff work (time/tune, mix, art, animation) will be provided❥ Vocalist identities will be anonymous to staff❥  Participants will be able to choose which language they would like to sing in and will be asked to share their preferred genres/songs❥  Pairings will be decided based on the type of songs preferred and vocal type❥ Phone microphones will not be allowed. ONLY USB AND XLR microphones will be allowed
❥ We screen mic qualities before selecting vocalists❥ All communications will be through Discord or Twitter DMs, please ensure you have notifications on!
❥ There is no Discord server for vocalists so please keep track of updates via Twitter!❥ Vocalist applications will open after staff are selected, so feel free to sign up for the vocalist lottery if you were not selected as staff

Vocalist Guidelines

General Information

❥ All entries will be TV-Size duets (approx. 1:30-2:00 in length)❥ The pitch of songs can be adjusted on the agreement of both duet partners

Recording Information

❥ Harmony/Adlib Guides will be provided but you are free to add beyond what we provide❥ Please just send your raw vocals with no effects, compression, noise removal, or time/tune done to the recordings
❥ Do not normalize your recordings❥Please roughly time your vocals to the provided on/off vocal❥ Consolidate your tracks as much as possible but keep overlapping lines separated❥ Export settings for recordings should be in .wav, mono. and 44.1/48.0 kHz

File Naming / Uploading

❥ Files should be named with the duet number assigned to you as well as the type (ex. 32A_Mains, 4B_Adlibs, etc.)❥ Files names should NOT include your alias❥ Recordings should be uploaded to personal file-sharing services and NOT to the folders we send you (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)❥ Recordings can be sent to either the YTSV Twitter account or on Discord to the organizer who messaged you

OC/Alias Changes | Recording Guide

❥ If you decide to change your alias and/or OC design at any point during the process, please message the YTSV account with the details including any updated social media links and/or reference links❥ If you're not sure how to get started with recording, you can check out Coffee Run's recording guides!

Extensions

Extensions may be requested at the deadline for 2 additional weeks, however if you do not communicate that you need the extension you will be automatically replaced.
